The future of Okie Dough Co

When I started Okie Dough Co, it came from a genuine love of baking and creating treats for my family, especially my grandbabies. One of them always wanted a chocolate chip cookie whenever he visited, insisting they couldn’t come from a package because they didn’t taste right. They had to be homemade.

One day, I made him a cookie sandwich with marshmallow cream, which became the first Calvin Cookie. While he now has several favorites, that cookie will always hold a special place in my heart and inspired me to keep baking, eventually sparking my love for sourdough. My youngest grandbaby shares my passion for sourdough. Whenever we’re in the kitchen, she wants to be right

there, helping and getting her hands into everything. Her favorite day is “dough day,” when she gets her own dough to mix, stretch, fold, and shape. She takes it very seriously, and I truly believe she’s a future baker. As Okie Dough Co continues to grow, we—my grandbabies and I—are excited to create new favorites to share with you. We’d love to hear your ideas too, as I have two very eager helpers ready to try them out.
